SARLAHI: The cotrim pills dispatched by the government to distribute to the children who have had pneumonia free of cost, have been found to be defective.
It was found defective among 42 medicines distributed free of cost. The pills which are brought get powdered in fifteen days in Primary Health Centre Lalbandi.
In Lalbandi, more than 2,000 such pills have gone in waste. Such problem was also confirmed by health volunteer Krishna Kumari Shrestha.
The pills get powdery even if their expiry is for another six months, said Senior Assistant Health Worker Dinesh Kumar Singh.
