The 14-member team including 11 sportsmen left for Faisalabad to take part in the championship to begin on Friday.

KATHMANDU: A Nepali handball team has left for Faisalabad, Pakistan today to take part in the invitational handball championship.


The 14-member team including 11 sportsmen left for Faisalabad to take part in the championship to begin on Friday. The championship will run for one week.


Amar Shrestha, Bishal Basnet, Deepak Singh Bohara, Birendra Chand, Jitendra Chand, Bimal Thapa, Lokendra Chand, Surya Prakash Bhatta, Devendra Prasad Mainali, Aswin Paudel and Bimal Bhatta are the players in the team.


Similarly, coach Jayanta Kumar Sharma, manager Prakash Kumar Sunwar and official Sandesh Regmi are in the team.


Member-Secretary of the National Sports Council, Yubraj Lama bid farewell to the team at a programme and wished it success.
