MIRMI: The embankment of country’s largest hydro power project — Kaligandaki-A — is at landslide risk, with its upper part developing cracks. The 144 MW Kaligandaki-A is located at Mirmi of Syangja. More than hundred households around the embankment are also precarious with landslide danger looming large. The Nepal Electricity Authority has sent a team of engineers to take stock of the situation after difficult topography and rising water level put the landslide threat at heightened state.
