KATHMANDU: Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) has expressed serious concerns over the Maoist combatants coming outside from the cantonments in various parts of the country and their acts of ruthlessly thrashing people to serious injury and causing losses to property since the past few days.
Stating that the Maoist combatants had mercilessly beaten up Nepali Congress (NC) cadres including six locals in Chulachuli VDC-1, Kamala of Ilam and causing losses to six houses and two motorbikes on May 16, INSEC demanded the government bring the guilty party of the incident to book as per the existing laws and arrange for the treatment of victims at the earliest.
Similarly, the Centre also urged the Unified CPN (Maoist) to show respect to rule of law and abide by the Comprehensive Peace Accord (CPA).
