Indefinite Janakpur bandh against blast

KATHMANDU: Protesting against Monday's bomb blast at Ramananda Chowk in Janakpur which took lives of four and injured other twenty-eight, Mithila State Struggle Committee has enforced an indefinite Janakpur bandh from Tuesday.

The Committee, along with locals, activists, civil society members has demanded government to book the criminals responsible for the blast, at the earliest.

Locals even brunt Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai and Home Minister Bijay Kumar Gachhadhar in effigy for the worsening security condition in the district.

Though Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha, an underground outfit operating in the Terai region took the responsibility for the deadly blast, government has formed a three-member probe team under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhupendra Khatri to investigate into the incident.
