CUTTACK: Pace bowlers Umesh Yadav and Varun Aaron bagged two wickets each as India restricted West Indies to 211-9 in the first one-day international of a five-game series.
Yadav claimed 2-33 and Aaron took 2-47 as India put up a fine bowling display after captain Virender Sehwag elected to bowl first at Barabati Stadium on Tuesday.
In-form left-hander Darren Bravo top-scored for the visiting side with 60 and was in a 75-run stand for the fourth wicket with Danza Hyatt, who chipped in with 31.
India rested regular captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni for the series while star batsman Sachin Tendulkar was rested for the first three games. Yuvraj Singh opted out of the series due to an illness.
