Industries spring up in Sripur VDC

DHANGADHI: Industries are being established in the Lalpur – Haraiya area of Sripur VDC of Kailali district along the east west highway, recently.
Some eight industries medium and big have come into operation for the past few years. The price of the land in the area has also gone up with the start of the industries.
Industries of hume pipes, concrete, kattha, and rice mill among others are run with investment of tens of millions of rupees, said a local businessman Rajendra Prasad Joshi.
This area has been developed as alternative industrial area after nearby Geta VDC was proposed for an industrial district. The Lalpur-Haraiya area is appropriate for establishment of industries as it has sparse settlement.
