Inferno guts property Rs100 m in Siraha

SIRAHA: At least 250 houses have been reduced to ashes, incurring loss of around Rs 100 m when inferno engulfed them at Bariyarpatti VDC in the district on Saturday afternoon.
Property around Rs 100 million has been destroyed in the fire including 250 houses, said Inspector SP Hirishchandra Adhikari at Border Security Force, Siraha.
Two children are still missing while a man around of sixty years has been seriously injured in the fire. The injured is receiving treatment at a local clinic, it is learnt.
Armed Police Force, Nepali Army and Nepal Police with the help of locals and firefighters contained the fire at around 4:30 pm today. The firefighters had been brought from Lahan of Siraha and Saptari district.
