KATHMANDU: A meeting of the three major political parties—the UCPN-Maoist, Nepali Congress, the CPN-UML, along with the United Democratic Madhesi Front(UDMF) has ended inconclusively after the two oppositions fell on Maoists arguing that the statute drafting process cannot move ahead without untangling the intricacies of integration process.

The meeting held at the Peace and Reconstruction Ministry in Singha Durbar on Tuesday however decided to forge consensus over the complexities of the peace process in meeting of the Special Committee (for Supervision, Integration and Rehabilitation of Maoist Combatants) slated for the evening.

The thorny issues attached to integration process including rank harmonization, standards and norms, education, bridge course and training to be provided to combatants, have been left unresolved at a time when the April 12 deadline to end the integration process is on the threshold.
