The award will be given away at a programme to be organised in Banepa on April 7 to mark the 28th anniversary of the publication.

KATHMANDU: This year's Janamat Senior Literary Honour is to be awarded to culture expert Tejeswor Babu Gwong.


The decision was made to honor him for his remarkable contribution in Nepali culture, said Chairman of the Janamat Publication Nepal, Mohan Duwal.


The award will be given away at a programme to be organised in Banepa on April 7 to mark the 28th anniversary of the publication.


Similarly, in the genre of stories, Hari Prasad Pandey will be given away the Deepa Janamat Samman, the Ganesh Khilkumari Duwal Honour to Mathura Sayami and Janamat Mahendra Lal Kalakar Samman to Naresh Sainju.


Likewise, writer Ganga Poudel will receive the Kewalpure Janamat Samman, translator Dr. Jangav Chauhan will receive the Janamat Janak Samman, journalist Yashoda Timsina will receive the Kamala Sainju Janamat Samman and litterateur Nawaraj Dahal the Janamat Sahayatri Samman.
