Jeep-fall kills 12 people

POKHARA: Twelve persons were killed in a jeep accident at Bhidabari of Dhital VDC in Kaski on Sunday. Seven persons died on the spot while five breathed their last while receiving treatment at a hospital. DPO Kaski identified the deceased as Jung Bahad-ur BK (60), Asarfi BK (58), Balram Gautam (65), Bakhat Bahadur Kshetri (75), Bikash Kshetri (34), Santu Pariyar (25), Min Bahadur BK (48), Tek Bahadur BK (50), Jamuna Gurung (30),Bhim Bahadur GC (30) and Junu Gurung (26) of Lwanghalel and Mithu Adhikary (65) of Kask-ikot Pame. The jeep en route to Hemja from Lwanghalel had skidded off the road and fallen into the stream. The accident occurred when the driver tried to reverse the jeep to give side to another vehicle on the bend.
