KAKADBHITTA: The workers of tea estates in Jhapa district have announced one-hour strike everyday from today, demanding salary and wages increment.
Issuing a press release today, All Nepal Tea Workers' Union, Nepal Independent Tea Workers' Union and Nepal Tea Garden Workers' Union urged the authorities concerned to address their 28-point demand by 17 April.
They have demanded to increase their wages, medicine expenses and other perks.
The workers have warned of indefinite tea industries closure if their demands were not met by April 17.
