KATHMANDU: The former president of Nepali Congress, Bhaktapur, Radheshyam Jonchhe died last night while undergoing treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital(TUTH)in Maharajgunj.
Jonchhe had sustained gunshot injuries during the period of Maoist insurgency.
Jonchhe was shot by Maoists in the September of 2002 but the NC leader had survived an attempt on his life.
However, he had already lost his ability to move the body part below his abdominal cavity.
Politicians and leaders close to him are paying their last tribute to Jonchhe at Bhaktapur Hospital premises in Dudhpati where his body has been kept on Thursday.
He is survived by a wife and three sons.
