KATHMANDU: A bicycle rally is going to be organised from Kathmandu to Lumbini on the occasion of the Buddha Jayanti and Visit Lumbini Year-2012.
The rally will be held from May 4 through 6 with the objective of promoting domestic and international tourism, and publicising Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha.
Pushkar Shah, the Nepali world cyclist, would be leading the rally to be organised by the World Cyclists Foundation. Some 150 Nepalis and around 15 foreign cyclists will participate in the rally which will cover a distance of some 300 kilometers.
