Kanchanpur parties scrap stir threat

KANCHANPUR: Political parties in Kanchanpur district have called off the pre-announced agitation programmes organised for undivided Far-West.
The programmes including mass rally were called off after an all party and all side struggle committee of the parties left for Kathmandu for talks with the government.
All political parties except the UCPN-Maoist have been taking to the streets for two weeks demanding the undivided Far-West.
According to the committee, other protest programmes would be continued until the integrated Far-West region was established.
Meanwhile, the United Tharu Struggle Committee has changed its protest programmes announced earlier, the party said.
