Kathmandu private schools shut over uncertainty

KATHMANDU: All private schools in Kathmandu have been closed today considering rising uncertainty with the looming deadline of the Constituent Assembly (CA).
Private and Boarding Schools' Organization of Nepal (PABSON) said that all schools in the Kathmandu district have been shut down for one day as possible demonstrations, rallies and agitations of different organizations could create obstacles in the easy running of the schools.
According to General Secretary of the PABSON, DK Dhungana, the Kathmandu PABSON has decided to shut down all boarding schools in the district viewing the activities around the CA building and its impact on students.
He said however the private schools in Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts have been running smoothly.
