Killer blaze claims 2 lives‚ guts over 400 houses in Siraha

SIRAHA: At least two children have died and over 400 houses gutted in a fire that broke out in Aurahi VDC of Siraha district on Tuesday afternoon.
The identities of the deceased have not been ascertained yet.
The fire has spread to the villages in seven wards of the VDC.
The fire started from the house of Ganga Ram Yadav and then spread to other houses.
District police said that the fire spread and could not be controlled due to the strong wind.
The fire has caused stampede in the villages.
The fire engines have not reached the site of the incident yet.
Locals, Armed Police Force (APF) and Nepal Army(NA) personnel had tried to douse the fire by pouring water but in vain.
The extent of damage to the property razed is yet to be established.
