KATHMANDU: Irate locals on Monday have continued their agitation in the second consecutive day against the government move to relocate the squatters in their vicinity at Sundarighat, Lalitpur.
The transportation has come to a grinding halt in the area while market places, academic institutes and factories have remained shut.
The three-day bandh enforced by the irate locals continues as negotiation between the irate locals and the government ended inclusively yesterday evening.
Department of Urban Development and Building Construction has constructed 23 bamboo huts at Sundarighat for the temporary resettlement of the squatters evicted from the bank of Bagmati River three months ago.

Why the local people are doing this? Hope government is not using local people real state to keep squatters. If it no so then local people dont have human heart to keep the own nepali people near by them. I was aslo born in Lalitpue jawalakhel, ekantakuna and i dont agree with protester its totally wrong government should take action when they are not obeying with request.
