KATHMANDU: Late king Birendra Bira Bikram Shah Dev has been remembered on the occasion of his 11th death anniversary in the Capital on Friday.

Yuba Bishwa Hindu Mahasangh is organising a memorial day in the premises of Basantapur Durbar Square today to mark the gruesome royal massacre on Jestha 19, 2058 BS, killing 10 royal members including king Birendra, queen Aishworya, Crown Prince Dipendra.

According to the probe commission report led by coordinator Taranath Ranabhat, late Crown Prince Dipendra, who had been denied by his family to marry his beloved Dibyani, had carried out the mass murder in a state of frenzy. However, the people in general do not believe it.

With the evidences dwindling day by day, the real hand behind the royal massacre has remained in mystery even after 11 years.
