Lawsuit against sweet shop

BIRATNAGAR: The Biratnagar-based regional office of Department of Food Technology and Quality Control has registered a lawsuit in the District Administration Office, Morang against a sweet shop after detecting inedible substances in the sweet products.
The case petition was filed against a famous and oldest sweet shop at Biratnagar, Adarsha Jalpan Griha, reasoning that the sweet products in the shop were not made in line with the standards.
The food laboratory had seized and subsequently examined the sweet items of the shop in course of monitoring around six months ago. However, the shop has claimed that its sweet varieties are up to the mark.
