DANG: Chairman of Tharuhat Tarai Party, Laxman Tharu along with eight others sustained injuries in a jeep accident which took place at Satbariya-9 in Deukhuri of Dang on Sunday.

The jeep was heading to Bardiya from Kapilbastu until it met the catastrophe at Amuliya section of East West Highway due to tire blast at about 7:15 am, district police office Dang said.

Tharu who received injuries on his head and armpit is receiving treatment at Kohalpur Hospital.

There were altogether 11 passengers in the jeep.
