KATHMANDU: Chairman of the UCPN-Maoist, Pushpa Kamal Dahal and senior leader of the CPN-UML, Madhav Kumar Nepal, have held discussion about the current political developments on Saturday.
It is the first time leaders Dahal and Nepal held talks following the dissolution of the Constituent Assembly.
At the meeting held at leader Nepal's residence Koteshwor, both leaders agreed that there was no alternative to the political consensus, and the political consensus was the tool to tackle present crisis.
Following the discussion, Maoists Chairman Dahal said whether it was to form a new government or make constitution, political consensus was a must.
"Most of the issues were agreed among the parties during the constitution drafting and remaining others should also be discussed and agreed on," he added.
Maoists Chairman Dahal, who made a clarion call for political conensus from the mass gathering his party organized yesterday, met the Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala this morning.
