KATHMANDU: Dayitwa Wangmaya Pratisthan, a literary academy, has conferred special honour on litterateurs Modnath Prashrit and Tulasi Prasad Bhattarai for their role in transforming the Nepali society through literature. It honoured Pitambar Upadhyaya with Dayitwa Wangmaya Pratisthan Honour and essayist Shreeom Shrestha ‘Rodan’ with Dayitwa Wangmaya Literary Award carrying a purse of Rs 10,000. Poets Thakur Sharma and Keshav Raj Panta received Dayitwa Rajat Honour. Chancellor of the Nepal Academy, Bairagi Kainla, honoured all the awardees amidst a function held to mark the academy’s anniversary on Saturday.
