Load-shedding misery

Student’s life is a life of struggle. In this period, there come a lot of problems and hindrances which affect their career and may convert their bright future into darkness. In the context of Nepal, there is a problem not just for students but also for all Nepalis. Nowadays we all are familiar with the word ‘load-shedding’ which mean reduction in the supply of electricity.

Nepal is considered the world’s second richest country in the context of water resources. From the study and collection of various data, some agencies claim that Nepal has the ability to produce 83,000 MW of electricity. But Nepal can’t produce such a huge amount of electricity.

There are many reasons behind the lack of electricity.

First of all in our country there is always an unstable political condition. The government can’t do proper planning which decelerates the speed of development of hydroelectricity. For development, we need human resources that Nepal lacks. There is no proper transmission system to supply electricity to different parts of the country. Due to the weak transmission system, there is leakage of electricity. Not only is the government guilty but the citizens too. Some people are using electricity

illegally.

Due to load-shedding, students are compelled to live with shattered dreams and battered hopes. Students also have their own dream after their studies but due to load-shedding these dreams are hindered. With the step in 21st century there is development in various technologies. Students have minds full of curiosity. They are curious to know about the various technological developments. But due to lack of electricity they are unable to know about the technology, which kills the curious mind. Due to load-shedding students are compelled to live like a walking corpse and breathing machine. They are unable to perform various activities which kill their logical mind and make them dull.

To sum up, load-shedding is a serious problem of our country which is decelerating our country towards darkness. Load-shedding affects student’s life and their activities which decreases the number of skilled human resources and hinder the development of our country. So, the problems of load-shedding should be addressed.
