Mahato harps on identity-based federalism

JANAKPURDHAM: Newly-elected chairman of Sadbhavana Party Rajendra Mahato has said that the whole nation will be in movement if identity-based federalism was not guaranteed in the new constitution.
Speaking at a press meet organised by the party here today, Mahato reiterated that autonomous Madhes state should be provided.
Mahato said that the recently held fifth general convention of the party was historic as the party took a progressive step in its policy.
In a separate context, Mahato said that the indefinite strike called by the Mithili State Struggle Committee has been hampering the region from every perspective.
