KATHMANDU: Police on Tuesday arrested Jeet Bahadur Rai (40) of Khotang on the charge of attacking his wife with a khukuri in their Mahadevsthan-based rented room. According to police, his wife Sajina Rai (35) was injured in the attack that occurred on Monday at around 9:45 pm. He had struck his wife with the sharp weapon over a dispute. She is undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital.
Alleged robber held
KATHMANDU: Police on Tuesday arrested Raju Lama (35) and Abhiman Lama (27) of Kavre for their alleged involvement in snatching a gold chain from a woman in Ganeshbasti, Kathmandu- 4. Riding on a motorcycle, they had robbed Shanta Choudhary (53) of a gold chain as she was walking on Monday night. Police said the woman had identified them as the robbers. Police said two motorcycles were also seized from them.
Two burglaries
KATHMANDU: Two separate incidents of burglary were reported in Kathmandu on Monday. According to a complaint lodged with police, a gang broke into the unattended room of Tilak Prasad Dhungana in Ichangu Narayan and fled with gold ornaments and electronic goods worth Rs 619,000. Likewise, property valued at Rs 110,000 were burgled from Ganesh Gaurav Tours and Travels of Chhabilal Ganesh in Gairigaun, Kathmandu-31.
