KATHMANDU: The central committee meeting of UCPN-Maoist concluded at the party headquarters in Perisdanda on Thursday, endorsing the revised version of the political document by party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal that also embodies one of the party vice chairmen, Mohan Baidya's ideological line.
The document was approved by a majority with suggestions, informed party spokesperson Dinanath Sharma issuing a press statement after the meeting, adding that some leaders including vice chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai stood at variance with the 'spirit' of the dossier.
The meeting decided to resolve certain ideological issues through public debate. The meeting however has forbidden leaders from engaging in negative comments in public and protests against the party's working plan and policies.
The meeting has decided to settle the issues of the division of work and the action plan at the party's Standing Committee meeting. It has further agreed to inform all levels of the party about the ideological differences through its soon-to –be published magazine Bichardhara.
Also today's meeting unveiled the fixture for the cadres' training starting after mid January at various places throughout the country. According to the schedule, the cadres training would be conducted in Kathmandu on January 17, in Pokhara on January 19, in Dang on January 21 and in Surkhet on January 23.
The training will continue in Kailali on January 25, in Butwal on January 27, in Janakpur on January 29 and in Damak on January 31.
