KATHMANDU: The hardliner faction inside the UCPN-Maoist has started a signature campaign in the capital from Monday in a bid to topple the incumbent Maoist led government and for the cause of republican constitution and nationalism.
The signatures collected will be submitted to Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairman Subash Nembang , said a Maoist leader.
As a part of the protest programmes unveiled by the dissenting Maoists led by vice chairman Mohan Baidya against Baburam Bhattarai-led government in collaboration with other 12 fringe political parties, started today's signature campaign from Naya Baneshwor.
The signature campaign is being organised in all the 240 election constituencies, said Maoist Politburo member Hari Bhakta Kandel.
