KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Nepal in India today organised a programme on Economic Diplomacy entitled “Business Opportunities in Nepal” in Dehradun, Uttarakhanda. Addressing the programme, Khaga Nath Adhikari, Charge d’Affaires, highlighted the multi-dimensional aspects of Nepal-India relations, particularly economic and commercial ties.
He encouraged the business community of Uttarakhand to explore business and investment opportunities in Nepal, the embassy said in a statement.Bishnu Prasad Lamsal, Minister (Economic) of the Embassy made a detailed presentation on Trade, Tourism and Investment opportunities in Nepal and Visit Lumbini Year 2012.
Rakesh Sharma, Principal Secretary of Industrial Development of Uttarakhand, recalled the visit of Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai to Uttarakhand last October and stressed the need to promote connectivity between Uttarakhand and Nepal and explore opportunities in medicinal herbs. A number of business and tourism entrepreneurs, industrialists and media representatives were present at the function.
