Mithila returns to normalcy

JANAKPURDHAM: Mithila region has returned to normalcy after the Mithila State Struggle Committee postponed its programmes of protest till Saturday.
Local people had been organizing Mithila region banda for the last eight days after an unidentified outfit exploded bomb which killed five and injured dozens of people while they were organizing a peaceful demonstration.
The Committee informed on Wednesday that they put off the banda after the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction called on them to sit for talks.
Member of the committee, Jiva Nath Chaudhary said they called off the banda to hold discussions with the lawmakers and leaders of various political parties so as to draw more support for the Mithila movement.
