MUMBAI: Australian batsman Aiden Blizzard struck a brisk half-century and Munaf Patel bagged three important wickets as Mumbai Indians scored a four-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders to ensure a place in the second playoff game for the IPL final.
Blizzard struck 51 off only 30 deliveries as Mumbai scored 148-6 in 19.2 overs in reply to Kolkata's 147-7.
Mumbai will now play Bangalore Royal Challengers on Friday, with the winner taking on defending champion Chennai Super Kings in the final on Saturday.
Chennai beat Bangalore on Tuesday.
For Kolkata, Dutch allrounder Ryan ten Doeschete struck an unbeaten 70 off 49 balls to resurrect the team after it had lost four quick wickets.
