KATHMANDU: Traffic at Ratnapark area in the Capital came to a brief halt on Friday afternoon after the Joint Muslim National Struggle Committee (JMNSC) called vehicular strike demanding to ensure Muslim identity in the new constitution.


The Muslim body staged a two-hour long strike from 2 to 4 PM in the area. A minor scuffle ensued in the area after police interfered the strike called by the committee.


JMNSC has been staging various agitation programmes calling to ensure the Muslim identity in the new constitution.

Yes all Muslims should be kicked out of Nepal with immediate effect before it is to late. If Need be the help of the BJP and RSS can be taken. S. Ghimre, India

It is a dangerous trend. JMNSC is being pumped huge money from the Golf and Islamic countries and is out to convert Nepal into an Islamic nation. Already the Christian missionaries and NGOs have caused a lot of damage to our culture and tradition, these Muslim groups like Islami Sangh Nepal may turn Nepal into another battlefield like Afghanistan, Pakistan etc. Nepalis may have several problems and the society is caste ridden but will the new faiths like Christianity and Islam solve these problems??? People should be aware about our great past and culture. there is still time. My countrymen should come forward and think twice.......... h.k.adhikari, nepalganj
