KATHMANDU: Stakeholders concerned have demanded to address the rights of the Muslim community in the new constitution.
Speaking at a news conference organised by the National Muslim Struggle Alliance here today, leaders of the Muslim community complained that the state, government and political leaders were not serious to the demands of the Muslim community.
Chairman of National Muslim Association Abdul Satar said that the new constitution should ensure the identity of the Muslim.
Likewise, secretary of the Alliance Rahamtulha Miyan demanded to form a constitutional Muslim commission at the earliest adding that representation of all Muslim community in all the state apparatus should be based on proportional representation.
