NA Family Association distributes winter clothes to poor

JANAKPUR: The Nepal Army Family Association, Kathmandu Chapter, has distributed warm clothes to as many as 130 Dalit families in Jalsagar area of Mahottari district, on Tuesday.
Basanta Devi Sada, who was forced to spend the winter's chilly night just by sleeping on straw and mat with her six-month-old baby without any warm clothes, was provided with the winter clothes. With tearful eyes, Saha said "It was difficult to pass the night with baby on the lap .Now, I have got warm clothes, thanks to the donors", she added.
The association has provided blankets, shawls and food items to the Mushahar, Dom communities and single women.
Talking to the media persons, Chairperson of the Association, Kamala Gurung said they have distributed winter clothes and food items although in limited amount.
