KATHMANDU: The Central Committee (CC) meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) is scheduled to take place today also.
Today’s meeting will discuss over the report presented by General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula during Saturday CC meet.
According to Sitaula’s proposal NC should take initiative to make an alliance with parties favoring federalism, democracy and republic and pressurize UCPN-Maoist to come to consensus.
The CC meeting which will take place after 1 pm will also discuss on issues raised by indigenous people in relation to party’s stance in the new statute yet to be promulgated.
Besides, the party will also discuss the notes of dissent registered by more than 20 Central Working Committee members, including senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba against party president’s unilateral announcement of 12 new departments.
