NUWAKOT: Nepali Congress central member Arjun Narsingh KC has said that no state should be named before the name of any particular caste and community since Nepal is a country with caste diversities.
Addressing a party programme at Sunkhani in Nuwakot on Saturday, leader KC accused the UCPN-Maoist of giving false assurances of ethnic-based states and thereby attempting to jeopardise the long-existing communal harmony in the nation.
He opined that it would be better to construct fewer provinces, keeping national integrity and communal harmony intact while restructuring the State.
Leader KC further claimed that the draft that was brought by the Congress proposing 'seven provinces' would be appropriate in the context of Nepal.
Congress district president and lawmaker Jagdiswar Narsingh KC urged the people to be optimistic for the timely promulgation of the new constitution
