KATHMANDU: National Information Commission (NIC), Chief Commissioner Binaya Kasaju, today informed the Prime Minister, Minister for Information and Communication, CA Chair and President of Federation of Nepali Journalists regarding his date of compulsory retirement.
He had joined duties in June 2008. But this July 18, 2012, he will be turning 65, which is the age of compulsory retirement in Nepali government services.
Kasaju said he is informing the concerned parties three months ahead of his retirement date to mke preparations as it would require certain time to fill in the post of chief commissioner.
“I want an independent, competent and capable person in the post of chief commissioner after my retirement. Therefore, I decided to inform earlier,” he said.
