Nation's boxers to slug it out in open competition

The two winners in the competition can take part in the World Boxing Championship to be organised in Bangkok

KATHMANDU: Nepal Boxing Association is going to organise a National Open Boxing Competition from July 25 to July 28.


At a press meet organised here today, Chairman of the Association, Rajeev Shrestha said that there will be participation of junior players, who have not played at any national competition before.


The two winners in the competition can take part in the World Boxing Championship to be organised in Bangkok of Thailand from October 15 to October 28.


General Secretary of the Association, Deepak Gurung said that the players taking part in the World Boxing Championship should be 17 to 18 years of age.

The Competition will be held at the covered hall of National Sports Council, Tripureswor.
