KATHMANDU: The Committee on the Rights of the Child on Monday has mulled Nepal’s initial report on the child rights submitted in line with the provision of the OPSC in Geneva.
Nepal has submitted the report on the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography today.
During the consideration of the report, chaired by Mr. Jean Zermatten, Chairperson of the Committee, the Nepalese delegation was led by Mr. Balananda Paudel, Secretary, Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare.
Participating in the constructive dialogue with the members of the Committee, the Nepalese delegation highlighted the efforts made by the Government of Nepal in the implementation of the OPSC.
