BIRGUNJ: Senior Leader of the CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal has accused the incumbent government of increasing the risk of confrontation in the country.
Speaking at a press meet organised by the Press Chautari Nepal Parsa, Nepal alleged that the ruling party UCPN-Maoist pushed the country to a crisis in a greed for state power.
"The UCPN-Maoist wants confrontation in the country and its recent extended meeting has proved it," he said.
Former Prime Minister Nepal claimed that the Maoists are guided by ultra-leftist and totalitarian thoughts and stressed that the incumbent government should be immediately replaced by a new one to safeguard nationality and democracy.
He urged all the Nepali and democratic forces to unite to replace the Maoist-led government and thereby end existing political and constitutional crisis in the country.Chapter Chairman Shyam Banjara presided over the programme.
