KATHMANDU: The bilateral talks on border security between Nepal and China concluded in Beijing, the capital of China.
The eight-member team led by Home Secretary Shusil Jung Rana returned home Thursday after the conclusion of talks. In the talks, both sides were in agreement to stop crimes in border areas, the Home Ministry said.
The meeting also discussed on implementation of border security laws and matters of mutual interest. The Chinese side was led by China's Vice Minister of the Ministry of Security of China, Chen Ji Min.
The meeting held every two years alternately in both countries discussed the border crimes, drug trafficking, human trafficking, smuggling, and illegal movement. The next meeting will be held in Nepal in 2014.
