Nepalgunj revenue collection surpasses target

The revenue collection includes Rs 1.41 billion towards Value Added Tax and Rs 1.048 billion towards customs duty.
NEPALGUNJ: Nepalgunj Customs Office has collected more revenue than the target in last fiscal year 2068-69 BS.
According to Office Assistant Chief Shiva Dhungana, revenue collection in the last fiscal year stood at around Rs 2.767 billion against the target of Rs 2.422 billion.
The revenue collection includes Rs 1.41 billion towards Value Added Tax and Rs 1.048 billion towards customs duty.
Likewise, excise duty contributed Rs. 186.4 million while Rs 118.4 million was raised through other sources, the Office confirmed.
