Everything in this earth is in a state of revolving, refining and changing. The hours change into days, days into nights, nights into months, and months into years. This circulation never stops, so we have again come to the New Year of 2069.


Yes, it’s a New Year! A new calendar! A new moment! A new view and strength! And a new time where people make a new start, forgetting their past misdeeds. This New Year brings such things and fills the air with happiness.

“Wow! New Year, maybe this year we may achieve our goal,” I heard some people say on

the streets.

“I will go to Class V this year, what about you?” children were saying.

“Surely, in this year maybe the Constitution will be written,” my father and his friends were talking.

After all these things, I moved on to mine. “What about me? What are my desires?”

I asked myself.

It was night and the stars were shining as if giving me some clue. The night went on, darker and darker. With the dawn, I followed the sunshine and found some rose bushes. In the entire garden only a few had roses on them.

I looked at one bush. It was hard to differentiate the type of plant it was because it had no flowers. I found a bud and saw that it was a rose bush. The petals inside it were trying to come out, but the calyx covered them. After a few days, the petals started to come out and it became the most beautiful flower in the garden.

I was speechless. I looked at it again and again. A few bugs, butterflies, honeybees began to hover around and it became even prettier. It seemed as not only the rose but also its leaves and thorns looked beautiful. I closed my eyes and pinched myself to see if it was really true.

But unfortunately, it was all just a dream.

I was still for a moment. I took an hour recalling the dream. I have heard 90 per cent of dream vanishes as soon as we wake up. The 10 per cent that was left soothed my heart. Something made me think about our New Year.

The dream made me realise how I can think of a better tomorrow, how I can prepare myself to give importance to every single moment that belongs to me and accept things the way they are. Life is definitely a learning phase. I learn every day. I will start my new year by learning in every single way.
