KATHMANDU: DIG Ganesh Raj Rai, in-charge of Metropolitan Traffic Police Division, inaugurated the newly-constructed building of Kamalpokhari Traffic Police on Tuesday. The two-storey building was constructed at a cost of Rs 1,065,000, excepting assistance in kind, extended by business communities and local clubs.
Fugitive nabbed
KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau on Tuesday nabbed Rajesh Kumar Ringata (47) of Kathmandu, a fugitive from Maharajgunj. He was absconding since Kathmandu District Court fined him Rs 249,000, the equivalent of what he embezzled while supplying goods to Nepali Army 18 years ago.
Dental exhibition
KATHMANDU: Kantipur Dental College Teaching Hospital and Research Centre is organising the fourth ‘Mouth and dental health science exhibition-2012’ for three days starting July 12. It will showcase dental health technology around the world and Nepal to dental students and general public, informed the centre in a statement today. Nepali dental experts will interact with their Indian counterparts on the second day in the First Scientific Dental College Conference 2012. There will be 25 stalls providing free dental services and free fluoride application for Dental Caries Prevention among children, the statement said.
