KATHMANDU: Senior leader of CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal has said there was no alternative besides to form a national consensus government to prevent the country from facing another confrontation.
Addressing the Valley level cadres gathering of the party in the capital on Tuesday, leader Nepal said the Prime Minister's resignation was a prerequisite to the formation of a consensus government.
The restoration of the constituent assembly, and election announced by the government are impossible, he said, adding that 27 among the 33 parties are against the present government.
Moreover, leader Nepal said no one could usurp the achievements gained by the Nepalis through different popular movements.
Speaking about the recent difference within his party, leader Nepal urged the disgruntling leaders to come back to the party line and stick to its ideology. Politburo member Raghuji Pant said handing over of the management of the Tribhuvan International Airport to a foreign company had jeopardized nationality.
