MEXICO CITY: A Mexican official has denied a woman’s claims that she was due to give birth to nine babies in the coming weeks. “She is not pregnant,” Jorge Luna, secretary of health in the northern state of Coahuila, told AFP on Friday after authorities examined the woman’s claims. Karla Vanessa Perez Garcia and her husband, mechanic Juan Bernardo Morales, already have four children. Three of them were triplets born last November. “I feel different because there are nine of them... hopefully everything goes well,” Perez told Televisa. “They have three children, but they are 4, 12, and 15 years old,” he said.
4 dead in Afghanistan
KANDAHAR: Two bodyguards and two suicide attackers were killed in a gun battle inside the governor’s compound in Afghanistan’s southern Kandahar province Saturday, an official said. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, saying their main target was the provincial Governor Tooryalai Weesa.
