Norwegian envoy calls on NC leader Paudel

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) parliamentary party leader Ram Chandra Paudel and the ambassador of Norway to Nepal Tore Toreng held a meeting at the former's residence on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the Norwegian ambassador expressed his concern over the progress made in the peace process and also the confidence that the new constitution would be promulgated within the stipulated time with the political parties reaching agreement on the remaining issues of the constitution writing, Paudel said of their meeting.
On the occasion, Paudel informed Ambassador Toreng that the environment for constitution drafting has been built with the tasks related to the peace process moving ahead in a positive direction.
Stating that the leaders of the political parties are holding intensive discussions on contentious issues of the constitution, Paudel said a way out would be sought through talks among the parties.
