OCE publishes SLC result, 64.31 percent examinees pass

BHAKTAPUR: The Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE), Sanothimi, has Friday evening published the results of School Leaving Certificate (SLC) exams for the academic session 2066 BS.

Under the regular category, a total of 247689 students passed the exam, with pass percentage standing at 64.31, the OCE said in a press statement. Of the pass outs, 1, 38,716 are boys while the remaining 1, 08,973 are girls.

Of those passing the exam, 16,859 came with distinction, 9,339 with the first division, 1, 28,028 second division and the rest 9416, third division

This year’s pass percentage is four percent lesser than that of last year, which stood at 68.67 per cent. In all, 456719 students had appeared in the exam, which was conducted in March this year.

Likewise, under the exempted category, 12,227 students passed the exam with pass percentage of 29.18. Combining both the categories, 2, 59,916 students made through this year exam.

The results will be published on Saturday’s edition of The Himalayan Times English daily. The results could also be accessed on its the website www.thehimalayantimes.com shortly afterwards. Also it can be obtained on www.soce.gov.np and www.ntc.net.np ,among others.

On mobile phone, the results could be instantly accessed by sending an SMS to 2722 (THT Live), 1600 (Nepal Telecom) and 1215 (UTL).
