DAMAULI: One person was killed and three were injur-ed, when a car en route to Besisahar from Dumre fell 20 metres down the road, at Sitthedanda of Bhanu VDC on Thursday night. According to DPO, Gam Bahadur Guru-ng (44) of Bhanu VDC succu-mbed to his injuries while being rushed to Damauli for treatment. The injured have been taken to Chitwan and Pokhara for treatment. Poli-ce suspect over speeding to be the cause of accident.

Child murdered

SIRAHA: Police have found the body of an 18-month-old Kishan, son of local Promod Shah, at Karjhnha on Friday. According to Raj Kumar Karki, Inspector, Area Police Office Mirchaiya, the body was found two kilometres east from his house. Police suspect murder. The toddler had been missing since Thu-rsday evening. Three perso-ns of the same village have been arrested.

Post understaffed

PHIDIM: Service seekers have been adversely affected as Angsarang based sub-health post has been under-staffed for long. Though four officials are meant to man the sub-health post, only one person –– in-charge Sunita Mishra shows up every day.
