BUTWAL: Prime Minster Baburam Bhattarai today suggested that political parties either follow the previous five-point deal or seal a fresh one in order to end the prevailing political crisis.

Speaking at a press meet organised by the Revolutionary Journalists Association, PM Bhattarai said that he was ready to leave his office the minute political parties agreed on the unsettled issues of the Constituent Assembly.

“To end the present political deadlock, the parties can either forge consensus based on the previous five-point deal or else fresh deal is the need of the hour,”

he said.

As per the five-point deal, parties could secure consensus on the prickly issues left by the dissolved CA and promulgate the statue through a reinstated CA before going for the polls under an NC-led consensus government.

Deliberating his proposal for the fresh deal, he suggested that parties could form a new deal, declare a new date for fresh elections and form a joint national consensus government.

Bhattarai said pitching for the dissolution of the

incumbent government without reaching a consensus would be an irresponsible act.
